Xbox 360-Troubleshooting 3 Flashing Red Lights on Power Button When Turned On?

by Lee on July 1, 2011

Question by Mitch: Xbox 360-troubleshooting 3 flashing red lights on power button when turned on?
Can someone please tell me what options I have to fix this problem. When i turn the xbox 360 on, three red lights flash around the power button. I tried unplugging and plugging the cords back in; turning the xbox off and and removing the hard drive and turning the xbox on, which both were solutions from microsoft website but i still had no luck. What else can/should I do?

wrap it around with a towel but it is only limited time.. also if you had it for less than a year , send it in and they send you a used one or fix yours.

Flashing red lights are a problem. The quick guide you got with the unit tells you this. Microsoft got so many complaints about dying X-box’s that they extended the warranties for many units to 3 years. Contact them for a local service center and see if you can get it repaired under warranty.

I’ll pay you $ 50 for the XBOX, it’s perementantly broken.

If you don’t want to sell it, you can exchange it for free for another one for free.

Call
18004myxbox, and go to “Repairs” then say “Create new repair order” and talk to the idiot who can’t speak decent english.

send it back!! hopefully you have the warranty still..just send it back before it becomes more damaged so they can either replace it or fix it
