XBOX 360 Arcade, Putting in Old Hard Drive

by Lee on November 17, 2011

My 360 died and MS was going to charge me up the pooper to fix it. Its cheaper to buy the core system. I show you how to install you’re old hard drive into the system. I know its been a question on several people’s minds so I am gonna show you how to do it.

monation09 November 18, 2011 at 4:09 am

i have a arcade and getting a new hard drive but im being truthfully here okay, arcade is actually better than premium and elite because i got the ring of death about 5 times and it stills works properly. plus arcade aint that complicated at all and it is so easy to fix, damm i love my arcade.

Aettis November 18, 2011 at 5:05 am

At least there is reason why your HD gives you E 68 (when you fell on the ice). Mine HD just stopped working and gave me the E 68 code without me doing anything to the damn HD. Never dropped the xbox and up until this problem I had never removed the HD. Microsoft is useless in this matter as well. I just happened to be a month out of warranty on mine. BS. Good luck on the fix.

SuperXpBaldwinzZ November 18, 2011 at 5:32 am

i have the same problem and like the guy sed if you know how to fix it please tell as iv l;ost everything iv done for the passed 4 years and im pissed off th the max

Scipiz0a November 18, 2011 at 5:47 am

@ptscao if anyone was smart enough they’d backup their data on a 16GB flash drive every month

Likeaperv November 18, 2011 at 6:39 am

your cat its funny XD

ptscao November 18, 2011 at 7:00 am

@ProffessorPwnage get a new hard drive, all ur previous saves will be lost tho. the price ya gatta pay to live a life in the day.

ProffessorPwnage November 18, 2011 at 7:26 am

Hey I have the new xbox 360 slim I I got the e68 error. I know my hdd is broken because the console works fine without it on. Could I just purchase a new 250gb hdd to get rid of the e68 error. How did you fix yours.

hacky33 November 18, 2011 at 7:57 am

and can you like repair the broken hard drive?
becuase i lost like every save game!!!!

AlwayzBeFly93 November 18, 2011 at 8:20 am

@SR71ABCD Your lying, iv seen you comment on another video. I have the same problem and when I try to use the data transfer kit my hard drive keeps clicking and it wont show up on my 360. So it obviously does not work if your hard drive is broken. I was in the middle of gaming when it just went haywire and fucked up, i didnt even get any prior signs. Microsoft FAIL at hardware.

XxReTROk1DxX November 18, 2011 at 8:58 am

@ptscao all hard drives fail.

c0rrupts3ct0r555 November 18, 2011 at 9:46 am

c0rrupts3ct0r555 November 18, 2011 at 10:26 am

@SR71ABCD games? nothing can be done to fix this hdd… once it has click of death its done… i love smashing broken hdd’s it gives me something to do…..

SR71ABCD November 18, 2011 at 11:14 am

@c0rrupts3ct0r555 You just wasted a life time of achieving games I just use a data transfer unit and downloaded all my data onto a new hard drive.

steelruffrider November 18, 2011 at 12:11 pm

Any fanboys who say xbox has a low failure rate well have you ever seen how many different types of system failures xbox has.

ddemko100 November 18, 2011 at 4:08 pm

it can not be fixed but you can buy a new hdd on ebay or something look at the cover for the model number… search that and also it is called “the click of death”
